Eagle District Round Table
If you don't know what's happening in Eagle District, then you haven't been to Round Table. Every unit in Eagle District should be represented each month.
Next Round Table will be July 12, 2012!
- All interested adults are invited. Every cub pack, and every troop should have at least one leader attend Round Table every single month.
- Round Table is held at the Christian Activity Center of the Edmond First United Methodist Church
at the corner of Jackson and Hurd, West of the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
- Round Table is held the Second Thursday of every month of the year, except for June and July.
- Round Table starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.
- Learn scouting skills, skits, songs, stories, games, crafts, and leadership training of all sorts.

Gary Lennon will teach basic drawing and assist students as they complete official Boy Scout guidelines to earn the ART Merit Badge. Instruction will include drawing essentials of line, form, shading, shadow, perspective and portraiture. All suggested art medium will be available to students. Eagle District Cubmobile Festival May 6-7, 2011
Build your cubmobiles now! Eagle District Cubmobile Festival is Friday and Saturday May 6 & 7 in Luther! Friday agenda is food, games, a movie, and camping! Saturday we race!
This is a cub scouting event. Build a car and drive it yourself! Cars can be reused year to year. Registration is free. It will be a great time for all. Everybody races four times in competition, then we race just for fun!

July 4 LibertyFest Parade

It isn't Independence Day in Edmond until you see the boy scouts and the cub scouts marching in the LiberyFest Parade. Come at 8:00 a.m. to the East side of the UCO library.
Wear class A uniform with scarves and sashes. Bring a liter of water. Parents, pick up your cub scouts at the end of the parade route. They will be finished long before the parade is over so be sure to be there when they are and enjoy the rest of the parade together.

Introducing Eagle District Chairman, Bob Ricks

Edmond police chief, Bob Ricks, is now the Eagle District Chairman.
“My role is to make Scouting more visible. I want to get the message out about why it’s important to our future and show kids they can succeed,” Ricks said.

Scouts Earn the Joyful Servant Religious Award

Boy Scouts completing the Joyful Servant course at the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond were recognized on Mar. 27 at a special ceremony following the worship service.
Those completing the course and receiving the award are: Justin Arbuckle, Troop 339; Jarrett Carter, Troop 386; Jeremy Coleman, Troop 79; Eli Eck, Troop 339; Davis Thomas, Troop 78; and William Walter, Troop 79.

Rhonda & Emily Rodericks Press Release 12/09/2010

The Eagle District Media & Public Relations Committee has released an article to the press featuring our own Rhonda Rodericks and her daughter, Emily. The article promotes woodbadge training and underscores the inclusive nature of the BSA venturing program. Rhonda is a recent woodbadge graduate and Emily is the president of crew 344.

The Edmond Scout Benevolent Committee has funding available for scouting families in financial need. Please fill out the ESBC application. Contact Colleen Bicket by email (bicket@swbell.net) or fax (405-348-1610) or by mail (13074 S. Santa Fe, Edmond, OK 73025). When a completed application is approved, the funds will be sent directly to the unit for distribution.

Eagle District Cubmobile Race - Downtown Luther!
Eagle District Cubmobile Race will be May 15, 2010 in downtown Luther, Oklahoma. This is a soapbox derby style racer that scouts build with their parents and race downhill. Specifications for building the racers will be posted here soon, along with other information.
Cubmobiles are fun to make and even more fun to race. Please enter one racer for every scout competing. Once built, the racers can be re-entered year after year. Racers must be built to specifications which will be posted here soon.

National Scout Parent Initiative Program
ScoutParents is the national scout parent initiative to welcome new parents into our packs and troops. We hope to make them feel welcome, discover their talents, and help them to fit in as integral part of our organizations.
