Eagle District Cubmobile Race down Main Street, UCO on May 17, 2008! Don't wait until May to start building that soapbox-style racer. Helmet-clad cub scouts will drive their own gravity-powered vehicles across the finish line. It's fun to watch and the scouts absolutely love it. Cars can be reused year after year, so build that racer with your Tiger Cub and we'll see that young man at the starting gate!

Download the rules & registration form for Cubmobile 2008!. Take this Parts List with you as you shop for cubmobile parts. Contact Dave Stapleton or Charles Hawkins for more information.

2008 Eagle District Cub Scout Day Camp
Monday – Friday June 2 – 6, 2008
Location: Rockin’ O Ranch, Southern Logan County (subject to change)

Registration Packets* will be available shortly. For more information, please make sure your Pack sends a representative to the April Roundtable – Thursday 10 April 2008, 7:00 p.m. held at Christian Activity Center of the Edmond First United Methodist Church at the corner of Jackson and Hurd.

Each Pack must provide one adult Walking Leader each day for every four youth. Den Chiefs and Den Aides do not count toward this ratio. Keep in mind that some Cub and Webelos activities will be separated – thus a Walking Leader for each separated group.

Each Tiger Cub (boys entering first grade) must be accompanied by an Adult Partner, one to one ratio.

Drop-ins (Cubs and Webelos without an adult Walking Leader or Tigers without an Adult Partner) are not allowed to attend camp.

The only youth participants are Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts. Registered Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts may attend as Den Chiefs, Den Aides, or Camp Staff.

No unregistered siblings may attend the camp as participants.

All parents and registered adult leaders may attend but are expected to take an active role in leading the camp experience either as Walking Leaders or Camp Staff.

Please register as a unit. Registration packets will be available online soon.

No registrations will be accepted after May 23rd 2008.

Your Pack should have a Day Camp Coordinator who can answer your questions. If you cannot contact this person, feel free to contact one of the following:

Good Turn for America
Record the service hours of your unit in this BSA-wide project to recognize the service scouting provides for America. Find out more.
Friends of Scouting campaign raises money through private contributions to cover the council costs which are not covered by other types of funding. About $125 per scout is needed beyond the costs scout families normally pay to provide the type of professionals, facilities, and services which are necessary components of the scouting program.

  • Family Campaign - Every Pack and Troop is responsible for scheduling an FOS presentation at a pack meeting or a court of honor as part of the Quality Unit program. The Blue and Gold Banquet is the perfect time for an FOS presentation. Our family program goal for 2008 is $50,000.
  • Community Campaign - Many in our Community recognize the virtue of Scouting who have no family members currently in the program. Our community campaign will identify community leaders and businesses who can be persuaded to contributing to the cause. Although the idea is not new, this coordinated program is. Our goal for the Community FOS Campaign is $70,000.

Friends of Scouting contributions pay much of the annual expenses of Last Frontier Council. These expenses include the salaries of scouting professionals, and the care and upkeep of council properties such as Slippery Falls Scout Ranch, Camp Kickapoo, Camp George Thomas, and others. The FOS program helps keep costs affordable for our scouting families.

You can donate now to the Last Frontier Council 2008 Friends of Scouting Campaign using the secure server from our friends at scouting.org! Plesase let Angie know about your online contribution so that your unit and Eagle District can be properly attributed.
